Yeeehaaa It happened, my first workshop is a fact (it’s been a fact since July but I’ve been focused on my holiday). But damn what can we fuss about things. When preparing for this workshop, my inferiority & imposter complex threw a shitload of limiting beliefs at me that really fought to undermine me.
Nooooo, you can’t!
You know that feeling when you try to do something new, something awesome that you’ve never done before, and your mind just keeps shouting: “Noooooo, you can’t do that!”
You see. Your mind doesn’t like new things. It adores the familiar, so your mind will do anything to steer you away from the possible scary thing that might happen when you try something new.
Now that you know that, it will become easier not to become prey to your negative thoughts.
Thoughts are just that… thoughts. They aren’t you.
They are like temporary clouds passing in the sky.
So, if you are staring at that awesome new thing that you really want to do, but you hold yourself back by listening to these limiting, fearful, negative thoughts, remember that you don’t have to listen.
Bla bla bla!
Nope.
‘Kay Bye, limiting beliefs!
That’s how I was able to give a class on storytelling.
Even though my mind was screaming that I wasn’t good enough and I didn’t know enough to give this class. Even though my fingernails paid a huge price (nobody wants to see that!).
I did it anyway.
Seriously, do it anyway.
The participants didn’t ridicule me as my thoughts had told me. There was no awkward silence because I didn’t know what to do.
Do you know what did happen? They loved it. The feedback I got was so good that my negative thoughts didn’t want to believe it. But I believe it.
Don’t put so much stock into your limiting beliefs that you don’t go for change .
Don’t keep yourself small chica. You can do way more than your thoughts tell you.
Embrace the change and go for your dreams. You’ll surprise yourself.

Let me know what you’d like to change but are too scared to go for? What is holding you back?
Adventure Awaits!
Love,
Susanna
