I have some pretty weird intro’s sometimes because that feels like being me, so I’ll just start with this disclaimer: This post is about self-care. I say this just in case you’ll start wondering if I’m going off on an ode to Choco Lattes – which would also be awesome but I’ll save that for later.

That said, let’s talk about change, self-care, and the awesomeness that is a Choco Latte.

I love me some Choco Lattes, people. I guess you noticed. When I’m so busy I feel like my mind will explode a Choco Latte is just what I need to get me to focus on Self Care. Hiking and yoga will do the trick too.

A Latte a day keeps the doctor away. 😉

I’ve had so many changes in my life, recently, super awesome ones, but I forgot to take care of myself amidst all that awesomeness.

So I was swept away in a turbulent sea of possibilities.

Change is good
AND we need to stand still every now
AND keep taking care of ourselves.

But I wasn’t doing any of that. I was so focused on improving myself, always wanting more, better, higher, etc. But sometimes more is just less. There just never seemed to be enough change. Caught in the forward momentum, I forgot to stop for a moment, right there in the middle of all that change, and assess how I was dealing with all of it. How it felt to me.

And I gotta tell you, I didn’t feel good.

Because change can also feel difficult, dealing with all the unknowns, the emotions, the fear. The gap between where you are now and where you want to go isn’t supposed to feel good, it’s supposed to feel somewhat uncomfortable. If it weren’t, everyone would be quitting their jobs to find themselves (or maybe that’s just me).

Take some time in the eye of the storm to take care of yourself.

Take a day off once in a while.  Schedule in a fun Friday. Take some time to do yoga in the morning. Drink a Choco Latte or two.

The possibilities will be there when you get back.

I’m all about forging the iron while it’s hot and doing things today so you can create momentum. Hella YESSS! But, girl, give yourself some time to adjust. Sit down and enjoy a Choco Latte. Trust me, it helps.

New ideas and possibilities will come from that self-care.

Don’t keep on running around like a stressed-out chicken without a head! You can’t be open to receive when your cup is empty.
I’m going to take care of myself today which means enjoying the afternoon sun and many choco lattes until I have a latte high!

What will you do today to take care of yourself???

Adventure awaits but taking a break is just as important.

Love,

Susanna
