Some days I forget, as I’m typing away on my laptop in my home office, that I’m so much further along than I was in 2016 and ’17. For one, I have a home office, AND I go to a co-working space, and where ever I am that day, I learn more and more, I grow more and more… That got me thinking on today’s topic that you already achieved more than you think!

When you start out on your creative entrepreneurial journey, much of the time, we keep comparing ourselves to others – believing we aren’t far along at all. We are actually behind. Because so and so, who launched her business two months after you, already has her first online course out there!

Comparison vs Inspiration

For one, stop comparing.

Don’t use her story as a reason you are doing it wrong, use it as inspiration: if she can do it, so can you!

No tree grows the same.

Secondly, when you are in a forest, no tree grows the same, even when it grows in almost the same spot as its neighbour, gets the same amount of sunlight and nutrition, the tree will grow and flower at its own pace, in its own moment.

People grow in the same way.

We forget that we, like the trees around us, all grow at our own pace and that where we are is right where we need to be.

Look back at what you already achieved

We diminish our progress because in the day to day it seems too little. But when you look back, two months, six months, a year, two years you realise you’ve already achieved more than you think.

A month ago, there was so much that you didn’t know, and now look at you, you already know more than you thought. You kept taking loving action each day on the things that are important to you.

You did the brave work.

Now, look where you are!

Trust that you already achieved more than you think

Impatience and a lack of faith in the process (and most of all yourself) might cause you to you forget sometimes. The inner critic doesn’t allow you to recognise what you’ve accomplished and already know.

Don’t forget. It’s about what you learn about yourself on this journey – not so much about the result. Success/failure, it doesn’t matter. Because if you don’t succeed today, you’ll take what you’ve learned from your “failure” and try again tomorrow.

That’s how we grow.

Focus on one thing

If you focus on one thing and take one action each day, youll create momentum. When you keep on trying, each day, two months from now youll be looking back to today, and you won’t believe how far you’ve come already.

Don’t forget to look back once in a while. You are so much further along than you think and if no one points that out to you, I’m here to tell you I’m proud of you, chica!

It’s never too late, all you need to do is take the first step!

Adventure Awaits!

Love,

Susanna
